"Necessary Evil" By Femi Aribisala, Vanguard Newspaper 5/25/13
"God is Dead:" Niche
I agree with this writer's conclusion but completely disagree with his premise and argument leading to his conclusion.
First, God is a law giver not a law maker and the consequence of this is that prayers are not meant for God but for men; For men to self edify, strengthen, embolden and manage their fear of this big unknown called existence.
In the rude and blunt words of Niche, a German Philosopher, God is dead, however not literarily but rather that God is presently very aloof to what is happening to the mankind.
But what Niche describe as God's absence I describe as God's satisfaction of his handwork or creation. 'On the sixth day God saw that all he has created are good and perfect. So if God's creations are perfect as I believe they are, do they have need for more amendment or tinkering? Not at all, hence his absence. 'God is not a respecter of persons he allows it rain both to the evil one even as it rains to the righteous.'
I agree, God is the author of everything, the threesome of good, evil and freewill. And he does not put these creatures to daily test to see how they are fairing because they are perfect from the beginning and mutually inclusive.
Evil is God's concept or idea that establishes the God's other concept, the good; and freewill is the link between good and evil. There could not be good if there is no evil and there would be no evil if there is no freewill.
Thenceforth, following creation we are responsible to what become of us. God does not test us with any measure of evil because he is not God of confusion rather we are individually, collectively and or generationally responsible to what becomes of us whether by our action and or inaction, by our verbal and or none verbal dispositions.
Freewill edict detects that we are fully responsible and God is neither culpable nor does he inflict us with pain, and tribulation. Our choices or lack thereof under the three fundamental laws of good, evil and freewill are our make and or our demise.
Devil is the embodiment of evil, a God's concept readily manifest in any thing, things, being or beingd that partakes from the gift of freewill if this being individually, collectively and or generationally and freely opens up self for evil. There is no such a thing as a measure of evil from God because again he is not God of confusion.
