Don’t seek re-election G7 Govs, Baraje tell GEJ
Mr. nPDP Chairman speaks and exposes ignorance
Woman! what is the problem, why are you threatening to destroy this big city; a concerned citizen asked a woman in her late 40s raising hell while threatening to destroyed a great beautiful city, yonder. And in so much rage and gasping for air the woman said this city must be destroyed unless he marries me as he promised. Hearing the flimsy reason a great city would be destroyed and the good citizen rightly believing that this woman is either insane or evil or both reports the threat against the city to the city guardians. Being a great city the city guardians were versed in the laws of the land so they organized and quickly apprehended the woman before she could destroy the great city.
The revered, wise and all-knowing chairman of nPDP has spoken and thank God he did because we’re now proven right that it is not Bamanga Tukur's leadership but rather Jonathan’s 2015 reelection against Hausa/Fulani hegemonic mindset and interest that is the force behind the rebellious 5 president wannabe Governors. But mostly interestingly is that by his statement Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje has shown that he not only lack the political sagacity and logical prowess to lead a big Party like PDP but that he is a dullard and a No-Nigerian, by threatening disintegration just because an eligible politician renegades in a prior promise to not contest for political position. How could Baraje and co- travelers today argue on mere promise if they claim as they have told Nigerians many times in the past that Jonathan had an agreement with the North to serve only one term? If this claim is true why would they argue on mere promise today? So today, with Baraje's promise argument Nigerians must take one truth home and that is there was no one term agreement between Jonathan and any political interest group. What they called promised today is what they called agreement yesterday. Besides, if Jonathan's 2nd term ambition is unconstitutional as Baraje and co say why would they enter into agreement to stop Jonathan's 2nd ambition if the ambition is already unconstitutional?
Mr. Baraje you’re neither a politician, smart nor a Nigerian if the reason you’re threatening the disintegration of Country you call home is for political promised not kept. One could not help to wonder how you become the chairman of PDP in the past. Well, this is Nigeria the land of mediocrity of quota. The only reason Baraje could have been PDP party chairman in the past was through the use quota system otherwise called federal character. But here we are and watch as Baraje rabidly oppose Jonathan who not only is taking advantage of his own quota like Baraje did but was actually positioned to receive his own quota through the act of God.
If a military dictator IBB would abrogate the constitution for 9 good years and took Nigeria through 9 years of one man rule or dictatorship and Nigerians see fit to remain Nigerians then it is alter ignorance, stupidity, empty ego, arrogance and childishness to make empty threats against any leader elected by popular vote in 2015. Mr. Baraje, if 2015 presidency is your god given right then you must trust and believe your god and therefore not afraid and then come 2015, stand for election under any party.
You said “God has been merciful to you, Mr. President, lifting you from being a university teacher to President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in so short a time is something you should be grateful and be contented with.” So Mr. Baraje, why not wait for the same God to dethrone him. Or do you not believe that the same God that lifted him will in due time lower him? why do you now want to do God's work? Do not believe that God is capable to lower Jonathan when God chooses? If you truly believe that God lifted him has God sought for your help to lower him?
And which ought to be easier, from military service to presidency like IBB, Abacha, etc, or from civil service to presidency? Last time I checked must American presidents were all civilians. Obama was a law professor, a legislator and then the president, in very short time period. And what does this argument or line thought of yours actually mean, Mr. nPDP Chairman? Are you suggesting that a collage professor would ordinarily be unfit for presidential post?
