my Buhari q&a and rebutal from Dufranx

I guess you must be a young chap judging from the substance of your questions.
The answers to your questions are not far-fetched if you consider what this man achieved while the head of state and not the beer-parlor stories that have been rounds in some sections of the nation. For your information, Buhari was not involved in the coup planning. He was only brought to give legitimacy to the military government because of his excellent and widely admired record in the military. It is unfortunate that at this age people don't search for the truth but find it easy to propagate the ignorance started by some ignorant people before them. He restored our pride as a nation to the level that even the British government of the day could not mess with us.
If Buhari would have been a christian, my best guess is that he will also be an "excellent" one. Religion is a case of happenstance and should not be used as a criterion for judging ones love for his nation.
It is better to ask questions and not imply them. Please take time to research on this man*s record. May be you might save yourself the headache of asking these low level questions. Your questions will definitely read differently.
I am looking forward to read your open questions to Jonathan.
God bless you and have a nice day.

My Brother Dufranx, I thank you for commenting on my post even though I completely disagree and distaste you rebuttal and the logic you used. You wrote "I am looking forward to read your open questions to Jonathan" Well the questions I posed to Buhari also applies to Jonathan and to any other presidential candidate. And I  implied this in my post where I wrote, "Fellow Nigerians please ask direct and pointed questions of these presidential candidates and demand yes or no answers, do not allow them to tell you, 'I will do this and that."
Reread my post,  "[...] these presidential candidates [...]" is plural meaning what it states, presidential candidates, not just Buhari but all candidates.
You wrote "It is better to ask questions and not imply them" I do not understand why you think my questions should not be implied. You and I know too well that every politician in Nigeria, all political leadership civilian or military were and are corrupt. So in any Q and A one, citizens must ask direct, bold, focused, concise, questions. In what manner would you have wanted that I ask the question; like a wimp? You would have wanted that I ask those questions in a manner that suggest lack of seriousness, like am begging, like I do not mean to ask them? When a citizen voluntary offers him or herself for elective public position he or she owes it to the citizens  to answer their questions provided that those questions are posed in a respectful manner. I neither begged nor forced Buhari to aspire to serve me and the citizenry in the capacity of the president. But when he volunteers to serve he must answer and respond to my concerns except he is aspiring to be a Master not a servant. Whether my questions are implied or not, all I owe Buhari is respect, nothing more, nothing less. And he owes it to me to answer all my respectful questions because as a true leader, a president in a democratic dispensation his is the servant and I and the rest of the citizenry are the Masters.
You wrote, "If Buhari would have been a christian, my best guess is that he will also be an "excellent" one Religion is a case of happenstance and should not be used as a criterion for judging ones love for his nation."
Here I kind agree with you. However I did not pass religious judgment on Buhari. But my friend, your problem is that  you are bearing a guilty conscience, not just for yourself but for your Buhari. And here lies the guilt  "If Buhari would have been a christian, my best guess is that he will also be an "excellent" one" Here you acknowledged that Buhari is a not a good Christian and I know by faith he is a Muslim. But as the president of a secular nation with 50% Muslim and 50% Christian  population, he must neither be a Muslim nor a Christian in his public policies otherwise he would be undermining his leadership integrity and national cohesion. Because he is Muslim and the president in a secular Nigeria does not give him any power to drag Nigeria to OIC, a religious organization. Not that OIC is bad organization, I think OIC is a good  organization founded on Islamic system and ideology. SO Buhari and CON IBB should have considered the sensibility of over 60 Million Christians in Nigeria in the 80s before they undemocratically dragged the country to a religious body, OIC.  My friend take it or leave Buhari is too religious in Islamism and too tribalistic to lead a secular and a multiethnic state. Except he undergo religious de-indoctrination, he had nothing to offer Nigeria. With all the hypes about the incorruptibility of Buhari, he served in the administration of one the most corrupt and brute dictator the world had ever known, Evil Emperor Abacha. Till today, even as Abacha's corrutption and loot are being recovered, even when the most uninformed persons in the remotest corners of the earth are very much aware of Abacha's loot, you Man Buhari still say that Abacha was not corrupt. Why, because ABacha was a fellow Muslim. When Buahri overthrew a democratically elected governement  headed by Shagari, a fellow Muslim, he kept shagari under house arrest and threw his Deputy, a Christian, an Igbo serving at the pleasure of Shagari, to prison. My friend u know not Buhari, nor Hausa/Fulani hegemonic mentality. You called me a chap I appreciate that, but you blind allegiance and especially with your Rising Sun emblem mean that you're not yet born or you're intellectually, politically, historically a walking dead lacking in conscience, knowledge, and truth.
Since 54 years of independence Nigeria have retrogressed and of these 54 years Hausa/Fulani  led for 28 years and therefore fully responsible for state of things in Nigeria today. And you know too well that Nigeria, Nigerians and particularly Nigerians living in the Sun Rise  are not better off from Hausa/Fulani 28 years of misrule and squandered opportunity to make Nigeria better. Yet here you are trying to anoint another of their own, and a one time dictator into a democratic position. My friend, insanity is defined as prospecting for different results from the same course of actions. We have tried Hausa/Fulani for 28 years with nothing to show for it. Common sense detects that we try some other people, the South South people and or the South East people as much as we have tried Hausa/Fulani.
You wrote "For your information, Buhari was not involved in the coup planning. He was only brought to give legitimacy to the military government because of his excellent and widely admired record in the military." This is the most childish and ridiculous  defense I can ever imagine in the whole wide world. I nearly laughed my head off while at the same time felt pity for you. With this defense of yours I begin to  imagine how young you could be. My friend with this defense I can authoritatively say things about you that would be 95% correct. For the fact that you called me a chap and referenced Buhari's 1980s dictatorship  means that you're not under 40 years of age or you're under 30 years but merely regurgitating what you heard from your political superiors who most likely are blind followers of Buhari or his sycophants or his fellow Islamists. Or you're over 40 but poorly informed, lacking in Knowledge and or good education, history, and in political sagacity. Simply put, you're most likely not a politician but a supporter of politicians for your daily bread. Or you're angry and disillusioned with the current administration because you have not be able to meet your daily need for bread.
They say show me the company a man keeps I will tell his kind of man. If a man mingles with thieves his is most likely a thief; with the ignoble his is most likely ignorant, with murderers, his is most likely a murderer. Simply put, if Buhari reason the way you reasoned here, then both of you are bird of the same flock and he is not worthy to lead Homo Erectus and much more Homo Sapiens. That Buhari was dragged to participate in a coup that deposed democratically elected government neither excused him nor excise him from culpability for act of treason. Because treason is the offense he committed when he participated in the rebellion. If Buhari put up this defense you're putting up for him, not even his wives would vote or support him.
I wish I have space and time to wake you up from your political grave. But bear in mind that if Buhari is elected president he would never travel to world true and foremost democratic Nations, because he was once a dictator that deposed democratic government. With his presidency, Nigeria would kiss goodbye to U.S, to Great Britain and to the rest of world's democracies until he steps down. U.S. UK are not the promise lands but they are the necessary lands that Nigeria cannot afford to avoid for 8 years in the event of Buhari's presidency.
In the end I wish you whatever you wish yourself, my friend
